VP Global Logistics at Bio-Rad Hercules, CA
Company is seeking a Vice President for Global Logistics.
This key role in the supply chain organization sets out the vision for the function, the strategy for achieving the vision and accountability for ensuring its delivery.
This position is located in our Corporate Headquarters in Hercules, CA.
ResponsibilitiesThis global role manages over 500 direct and indirect staff located in multiple countries in Americas, Asia and Europe.
Specific responsibilities include:
Set out, establish, and oversee the logistics strategy and best practices for global logistics processes that enables the physical distribution of products as well as the administrative control and information flowBe the Senior sponsor for partnerships and sourcing programs with global 3PLs that can be used by the business to deliver outsourced services for warehousing, transport and international logisticsBe the Senior sponsor and the focal point for global trade compliance at a senior management level, including structure and organizational definition and implementation of processes and technology investments.
Work with external advisers and internal senior owners of global trade compliance to ensure ongoing governanceRepresent logistics in strategic projects, business ventures and emerging/new markets Create a talent and development plan Define strategy for the regional and global logistics functions that is aligned with the overall supply chain strategyCreate and manage the global logistics function center of excellence that includes resource planning, budget allocations and expendituresIdentify new efficiencies and customer service improvements through innovative approaches to logistics QualificationsBachelor 's degree in Supply Chain or related.
Professional memberships, like CILT is a plus.

years' experience in logistics and 3PL services provider/freight forwarding Knowledgeable of the logistics environment, encompassing global trade compliance, domestic distribution, and international logistics.
Knowledgeable of the end-to-end supply chain, with a clarity for understanding the importance and interdependencies associated with each stage of the process ' Plan, Source, Make, DeliverDemonstrated ability to attract, lead, manage and inspire logistics talent and resources across the entire organizationExcellent interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate across all levels Ability to articulate the vision and roadmap for logistics Develop and maintain effective relationships (both internal and external) to facilitate necessary changesAbility to travel at short notice and/or work overseas for extended periods of time.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
